Partner and Attorney Jeff Lucas was born in New York in 1963. At an early age, his family relocated to Dunedin, Florida. Jeff attended school in the Tampa Bay area, graduating from Dunedin High School and attending the University of Tampa.
Jeff attended the University of Tampa on an Army ROTC full tuition, room-and-board scholarship. In December 1986, Jeff received his Bachelor of Science degree in criminology. After obtaining his Bachelor’s degree Jeff went on to pursue his military training and career as an Army Officer. He attended Army Officer training at Fort McClellan, Alabama. Jeff then served in the United States Army for 8 years serving as a Military Police Officer.
While on active reserve duty, Jeff decided to continue his education and pursue becoming a lawyer. He attended California Western School of Law where he received his Juris Doctorate in 1991.
Upon becoming a member of the Florida Bar, Jeff began practicing law in 1992 while still in the Army Reserves. He served as a Public Defender for the Sixth Judicial Circuit for both Pasco and Pinellas Counties from July 1992 to April 1995. In June 1995, Jeff joined a law firm in Tarpon Springs, FL, where he continued to practice criminal defense law and expanded his practice to include civil litigation to specifically include personal injury law. Then, in 1999, Jeff began his own practice in New Port Richey, FL representing victims of auto accidents and personal injury.
In 2000, Attorney Jeff Lucas expanded and created the initial partnership which today is now known as Lucas, Macyszyn & Dyer Law Firm. Jeff focuses his practices on helping victims of car accidents make the best use of the benefits available to them.

Jeff thoroughly enjoys not only serving his clients for their legal needs but also being of service within the community. Jeff previously volunteered, pro-bono, to assist Dayspring Academy Charter School as their attorney. Because of his passion for education, Jeff taught as an Adjunct Professor at Pasco-Hernando State College. He taught courses for Civil Procedure, Trial Practice, Evidence, Torts and Criminal Law. Furthermore, the partners have given back in numerous ways, including but not limited to, assisting veterans, police, firefighters, children and single parents through the Lucas, Macyszyn & Dyer Community Foundation and the law firm.
Most of all Jeff loves his family. He has been married to Dr. Josephine Lucas for more than 30 years, and they have two children who are currently pursuing their college degrees. Away from the office, Jeff enjoys traveling with his family as well as boating.
